Jackson County once again leads the state of West Virginia in the lowest recorded unemployment rate!!!!

Based upon Workforce WV Jackson County posted unemployment rate of 2.8% for the month of September 2019.
Jackson has led the state in lowest unemployment for 2019. “We are looking at historical recorded lows since employment data has been analysed” according to Mark Whitley of the Jackson County Development Authority. Jefferson County in the eastern panhandle and Jackson County has shared this designation for most of the year said Whitley.
